Mrs. Vanithamani Arulvel is a dynamic Storyteller for children exclusively in Tamil. 'Butterfly Kids Library' is being run by her which is an important phenomenon. She conducts various storytelling sessions for children under the banner named 'Kathaikalam' and also a soft skill trainer to college students. 'Happy classroom for children and teachers' is an academic training being conducted for teachers in various schools.
Why Stories ?
LISTENING
Listening is a leadership quality. If one wants to develop this listening skill then hearing stories is one of the best ways.
CONCENTRATION
Focus on one subject without distraction is a great thing and through story telling it develops enormously.
IMAGINATION
In this world all the discoveries are based on imaginations. Stories play an important role in improving one's imaginary skills.
CREATIVITY
When you share stories imaginative ideas and innovations ameliorate your brain remarkably. Thus the art of creativity is the gift of story telling.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
The main objective of it is communication through words but it gives a special emphasis on body language.
PATIENCE
This decade is known for information technology. Though we live in this fast world we need some skills to improve our intra personal skills.
READING
Story telling is the best way and a powerful tool to improve reading habit among children. It also brings a lot of innovative ideas in children.
VOCABULARY
If you want to learn more words in a language, you should hear stories first. It is an easiest method to enhance our word bank.
DECISION MAKING
Analysing a problem and finding an alternative solution is highly mandatory in decision making.
